Violent, superstitious, unstable... the reptilian Naguaar call the
jungle world of Nakjiik their home. Many of the Skerji’s shamanistic
and ritualistic practices can be attributed to the tribal Naguaar.
Although possessing an intelligence similar to their arch-rival, the
Naguaar are more interested in their own mystical beliefs and grotesque
religions than technology or science. They are also less stable emotionally
than the Skerji and exhibit short tempers and violent tendencies.
While the Skerji strive for honor, the Naguaar strive to humiliate
and defile. Naguaar use shrunken Skerji craniums as a form of currency
and even play toys for their young.
The Naguaar culture does exhibit a very elaborate, although sordid,
style of art. Sculptures and structures are often built using Skerji
skulls and warriors wear their rank in the form of intricate tapestries
of bodily tattoos and piercings. Even though the Naguaar seem to be
the more disagreeable of the two races, they are actually very attuned
to nature and sensitive to the feelings of other sentients.
