| Grimoire
is a two-player spell-based fighting game in development for the Guildhall
at SMU. Fireballs and lightning bolts replace the traditional fighting
game kicks and punches in this tournament of magic. |

Players can cast quick
spells with a tap of the spell button or hold down the spell button for
about half a second (shown by the effect on the right) and cast a
charged spell. I designed this as a simple risk/reward mechanic -
charged spells have more powerful effects, but the player is vulnerable
to enemy attacks while charging. This screen shot is pre-Alpha. |
