The Hydroplane is a death match map based on the gameplay presented in the Quake III map, DM17. The general layout of the original level, along with the gameplay is kept and it is given a theme and a setting where it can take place. The chosen theme is a high speed boat racer. The original DM17 architecture is converted into a hydroplane which navigates through a network of un-chartered islands on a hot sunny afternoon. The context of the level is that after a long time at sea, the onboard GPS has failed and there has been a mutiny and everyone is fighting against one another to stay alive.

  • Unzip the file
  • Copy the contents as they are into the UT2004 folder
