My name is James
Beech. I'm always proud to tell people I'm from Canada, (I'm a
Dual-Citizen), where
I grew up learning to speak multiple languages (English, French),
and where I started to play videogames. The first game I truly
loved was The Legend of Zelda, and I have been loving games ever
since. My other love is for art, something that has kept me busy for as long as I can remember. I've always been interested in drawing and painting, so much so that I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Central Florida. During my undergrad, I taught myself how to use the Unreal Editor and went on to make some levels in my spare time. One of these levels won 4th Place for Best Level in the second phase of the Make Something Unreal Contest. At this point, I realized Level Design was more than just a hobby, and attended The Guildhall at SMU, where I learned how to use high-end programs like 3DStudio Max, other editors like Radiant, and most importantly: how to function with a team of like-minded individuals to create a finished product. |
