Ascension




 


 

Ascension was the second project I worked on at the Guildhall. It was also the first true Cross Disciplinary (Artists, Level Designers, and Programmers) game project I had worked on. Ascension was a mod of Unreal Tournament 2004.

I was the Team Lead as well as a Level Designer on this project. I created 2 maps for the game (ASC_Well of Souls & ASC_Fort).

The object of the game was to collect souls of your dead opponents. Your speed, health, and damage output increased as you collected more souls. Upon death, a player would drop half of the collected souls in his inventory. You won the game by attaining enough souls to reach the "Ascended" level of evolution; and then by entering a beam of light in the middle of the map, the game was won.
